Ever walk into a room and instantly feel the vibe?

Maybe you’re buzzing with energy one minute and totally flat the next — without knowing why. If that sounds familiar, this one’s for you. Here’s how to protect your energy (without moving to the forest or wearing a giant crystal on your head).

How to Protect Your Energy (Without Turning Into a Hermit)

If you’re the kind of person who can feel a room before you even walk into it — congratulations, you’re probably an empath. You know, one of those people who picks up on everyone’s moods, vibes, and random emotional baggage like a human sponge.

It’s a lovely superpower to have — until you start wondering why you feel completely drained after coffee with that one friend who never stops talking about their problems. (We’ve all got one.)

The Universe Is Always Talking — Are You Listening?

Here’s the thing: we’re surrounded by messages all the time. Tiny nudges from the universe, whispering things like “slow down,” “pay attention,” or “maybe don’t ignore that feeling in your gut.”

But because we’re all busy doing a hundred things at once, we often miss the memo. Then, when we really don’t listen, the universe gets louder — through sickness, rejection, loss, burnout… all the fun stuff that forces us to stop and look around.

It’s not punishment. It’s feedback. It’s the universe saying, “hey, I’ve been trying to tell you something — maybe listen this time?”

Feng Shui, Space & Cosmic Conversations

When I started diving into Feng Shui, space clearing, geomancy and Chinese astrology, something clicked. I realised that our spaces — our homes, our environments — are constantly communicating with us.

Every plant, wall, and corner holds a story. The energy of your home is basically your soul’s playlist on shuffle. And when we learn to listen, we don’t need to go searching for meaning — it’s already right there, waiting for us to tune in.

Three Simple Ways to Protect Your Energy

Here are three little rituals I use to keep my energy clear and grounded (especially after a big day working with clients or, you know, people-ing).

1. Sleep Without the Static

Your bedroom should be an EMF-free zone. That means no Bluetooth gadgets, no phone charging by your head, no sneaky Wi-Fi boxes humming away. If your bed shares a wall with the meter box — move it. Seriously.

Bonus tip: invest in a copper coil redirection. It’s not as woo-woo as it sounds — it helps your body rest deeper and dream better.

2. Wear a Bit of Earth

Nature is the best bodyguard. I love using protective elements like petroleum stones or petrified wood — they absorb the junk energy so you don’t have to. Think of them as energetic noise-cancelling headphones.

3. Wash the Day Away

Energy clings. To your clothes, your hands, your hair. If you’ve had a day that feels heavy, don’t put those clothes back on tomorrow. Wash them.

When you get home, wash your hands — or better yet, jump in the shower and let the water rinse away whatever’s not yours. It’s a small act, but it’s like hitting “reset” on your vibe.

Protecting Your Energy Is the New Self-Care

Being sensitive to energy doesn’t mean you’re fragile — it means you’re tuned in. The world needs people like you, but to keep shining, you’ve got to protect your glow.

So next time you’re feeling off, take a breath, slow down, and ask: is this mine, or am I carrying someone else’s storm?

The answer might just be the little message from the universe you were meant to hear.
